Opportunity versus threat.

Hi.! Hoping that you are feeling super-fabulous, your feelings mirror your performance. If you are feeling excellent, you create exceptional results, folks enjoy your company and your innovation plays at its peak. If you are lethargic, just so bored with no urge to create some amazingly beautiful and wonderful stuff; you do shoddy work and produce poor results. Make a commitment to fuel your life and re-energize your creativity by being insanely positive and in a state of energy. Always be feeling amazingly beautiful.

“I feel sorry for the person who can’t get genuinely excited about his work. Not only will he never be satisfied, but he will never achieve anything worthwhile.”
— Walter Chrysler

Been working towards crafting a leadership dream team so to speak. My goal is to instigate a leadership revolution in all facets of this continent by the next decade. Ambitious but not impossible. Communities, institutions, governments, companies must play different to give different results. Nothing else works. Leadership is the solution to outperforming your most creative competitors and leading the other bests in the field. We all can lead. As long as you breathe, you can lead. You need nothing more than the mandate of your will.

Today’s post is about fine tuning your response to change. Individuals and organizations would rather die than change; we would rather die in our dread than climb the cross of the moment and let our illusions die.

Leadership is about adapting to change faster than your competition so as to grow faster than your competition. Environmental change creates rigidity. When change takes place in an external environment, we perceive it as a threat. Gradual crisis is more dangerous than a sudden one. Leaders often face much stronger resistance to gradual crisis. The more reason why you need to mainstream a culture of innovation and work to outdo your yesterday big wins.

“Success or failure in business is caused more by the mental attitude even than by mental capacities.”
— Walter Scott

When change comes we resort to the established old ways and routines, we seek increased formalization of procedures and processes and we reduce the richness and complexity of communication. We focus on efficiency- cutting costs and ignore you will have to find new ways to grow and invest. You fail to seize the moment and position yourself for growth and success.

You can either frame change as a threat or an opportunity. How you frame a situation determines how you behave and the choices you ultimately make. People act not as they see circumstances, but as they are conditioned to think and perceive.  Engage in a reframe of threats to opportunities that will drive new lines of business and revenues. Find new ways of working. Grow in new directions. Take on better ways of investing in yourself and selling your genius to the world.

I am here to see you become the greatest, doing the impossible, and leading a life of fulfillment, happiness and impact.
